Radio Disney is throwing a real-time live party for its most passionate fans, evolving music’s biggest event for families to the newly rebranded “ARDYs: A Radio Disney Music Celebration” (for the past six years known as the “Radio Disney Music Awards”). Actress, singer, songwriter, Hollywood Records and Republic Records recording artist Sofia Carson (Disney Channel’s “Descendants,” Freeform’s “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists”) is set to host the exciting music and star-filled event. For the first time, it will be a live telecast, originating from Los Angeles, on SUNDAY, JUNE 16 (8:00 p.m. EDT/re-airing at 8:00 p.m. PDT), on Disney Channel and in DisneyNOW, with a simulcast on Radio Disney. Multiple Emmy® and Producers Guild Award nominee Casey Patterson Entertainment (“Lip Sync Battle” and “MTV Movie Awards”) will executive produce the show.
The ARDYs will celebrate the biggest and rising stars in music, television and movies and create an event designed to inspire and entertain today’s families. Beginning May 20, and during the live ARDYs show, fans will be invited to be part of the planning for the live telecast. By visiting the DisneyNOW app, the Radio Disney app or online (Disney.com/ARDYs), fans can participate in polls that will help determine certain elements of the show.

Mal (Dove Cameron), Evie (Sofia Carson), Carlos (Cameron Boyce) and Jay (BooBoo Stewart) return to the Isle of the Lost to recruit a new batch of villainous offspring to join them at Auradon Prep. When a barrier breach jeopardizes the safety of Auradon during their departure off the Isle, Mal resolves to permanently close the barrier, fearing that nemeses Uma (China Anne McClain) and Hades (Cheyenne Jackson) will wreak vengeance on the kingdom. Despite her decision, an unfathomable dark force threatens the people of Auradon, and it’s up to Mal and the VKs to save everyone in their most epic battle yet.
Sofia Carson was in LA today to promote her new series “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists” at the Freeform Winter TCA Press Tour. The cast was there to talk about the show and unveil the release date for the new series slated to premiere this March, February 5th 2019 – Freeform’s TCA Winter Press Tour
Freeform is celebrating the 25th Anniversary of cult-classic halloween movie, Hocus Pocus with a 90 minute special filmed at the iconic Hollywood Forever Cemetery. It will feature Sofia Carson and her Descendants franschise co-star Dove Cameron, as well as Jordin Sparks, PrettyMuch, and Junior New System. There will also be a “Hocus Pocus” themed costume contest, judged by Sharon Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne. The special will also include exclusive interviews with “Hocus Pocus” cast and crew members Sarah Jessica Parker (“Sarah Sanderson”), Kathy Najimy (“Mary Sanderson”), Kenny Ortega (Director), Mick Garris (Writer), David Kirschner (Writer), Omri Katz (“Max”), Thora Birch (“Dani”), Amanda Shepherd (“Emily”), Doug Jones (“Billy Butcherson”), Larry Bagby (“Ernie”), Jason Marsden (voice of “Thackery Binx”), Tobias Jelinek (“Jay”), Peggy Holmes (choreographer) and John Debney (Composer). Drag superstar Lady Bunny will be rocking the spooky beats throughout the evening as the resident DJ.
The special will air as a part of Freeform’s “31 Nights Of Halloween” programming event on October 20t 2018 @ 8:15 PM EDT/PDT.
